I believe Maumee needs a consistent and clear brand that is demonstrated not only through marketing materials but also through the choice of finishes, signage and vegetation. In addition, Maumee needs a communications person who is continually providing updates on events, projects, and plans for the city so that residents have full transparency into the city’s decisions.

• Consistent posts on social media about events and the latest projects or happenings/updates in the city

• Enhance functionality of city website

• Create blog posts/project page with the latest information, including a list of active projects and their status

• Creation of more/consistent press releases to local news sources

• One point of contact that ensures the voices of the community are heard and passed along to the proper resource

• Consistently branded marketing materials, signage, use of finishes including but not limited to lighting, outdoor furniture, use of native plants

• Way-finding signage reminding residents and informing visitors of local attractions & amenities

• Signage in historical areas that describe key events from the past with impactful historical photos and information

• Public Parking signs

• Shared parking spaces
